Redness & Rosacea Relief
Calm chronic redness, fade visible blood vessels, and restore an even, healthy complexion — without surgery or downtime.
Our Intense Pulsed Light treatments target the dilated capillaries and inflammation that fuel rosacea flares, leaving skin clearer, calmer, and more luminous after each session.
Book Your IPL ConsultationRosacea redness is driven by dilated blood vessels just under the skin's surface. IPL delivers precise pulses of broad-spectrum light that are absorbed by the hemoglobin in those vessels. The vessels gently heat, collapse, and are reabsorbed by the body — fading redness while leaving the surrounding skin healthy and intact. Over a series of sessions, the skin looks visibly calmer, clearer, and more even.
Persistent flushing across cheeks, nose, and chin.
Telangiectasia and small broken capillaries on the face.
The redness and vessel subtype of rosacea.
Skin that flushes easily with heat, stress, or spice.
Redness intensified by years of sun exposure.
Combination of redness with brown discoloration.
Inside the Treatment
A look at a real IPL session at Opteluxe Wellness — gentle, precise pulses of light targeting the redness and vessels that drive rosacea.
Before Treatment: Avoid sun exposure, self-tanners, retinoids, and exfoliating acids for 1–2 weeks before your session. Come to your appointment with clean, product-free skin.
During Treatment: A cool gel is applied and you'll wear protective eyewear. The IPL handpiece delivers gentle pulses of light — most patients describe a brief warm snap. Sessions typically last 20–30 minutes.
After Treatment: Expect mild redness and warmth that fades within a few hours. Tiny vessels may darken briefly before disappearing over the following days. Wear SPF 30+ daily and follow our gentle aftercare routine to protect your results.
Results: Most patients notice calmer, less reactive skin within the first week. A series of 3–5 sessions, spaced 3–4 weeks apart, delivers the most dramatic reduction in redness and visible vessels.
Intense Pulsed Light delivers broad-spectrum light that is selectively absorbed by hemoglobin in the dilated blood vessels that drive rosacea redness. The vessels are gently heated and collapse, while surrounding skin is left intact — reducing visible redness and calming chronic flushing.
Most patients see meaningful improvement after 3–5 sessions spaced about 3–4 weeks apart. A maintenance treatment once or twice a year helps keep redness under control long-term.
Most people describe each pulse as a quick warm snap, similar to a rubber band. We use chilled gel and the device's built-in cooling for comfort, and no anesthesia is needed.
Mild redness and warmth right after treatment are normal and usually fade within a few hours. You can return to your day immediately — just avoid heavy sweating and direct sun for 24–48 hours.
Rosacea is a chronic condition, so flare triggers (sun, heat, alcohol, spicy foods, stress) can still cause flushing. IPL dramatically reduces baseline redness and visible vessels, and periodic maintenance sessions keep results looking their best.
IPL works best on lighter skin tones with redness, flushing, and visible vessels. During your consultation we'll review your skin type, medical history, and rosacea triggers to confirm it's the right treatment for you.
