What to Expect
Before Treatment: Avoid sun exposure and self-tanners for 2 weeks prior. Discontinue blood thinners and anti-inflammatory medications as advised. Come with clean skin, free of lotions or makeup on the treatment area.
During Treatment: Protective eyewear is provided. The laser handpiece is guided over the visible veins. You may feel a mild stinging or warming sensation—most patients find it very tolerable. Treatment time varies from 15-45 minutes depending on the number and size of veins.
After Treatment: Mild redness and swelling are normal and resolve within hours to days. Treated veins may appear darker initially before fading over 2-6 weeks. Some patients need 2-4 sessions for optimal clearance. Results are long-lasting when combined with healthy lifestyle habits.
